Event Overview:
We are pleased to announce the launch of “Beyond Translation: Exploring Child Language Brokering in Alberta’s Culturally Diverse Landscape,” a seminal edited collection by Dr. Anusha Kassan (University of British Columbia), Katerina Palova (TIES Centre of Immigrant Research), and Halley Silversides (University of Calgary).
The book delves into our research of Child Language Brokering among newcomer families, where children act as language and cultural intermediaries for their parents/guardians during their settlement and integration into a new country.
Join us for the official launch of our book on Thursday, September 26,2024 from 7 PM to 9 PM at Calcutta Cricket Club (1213 1 St SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0V3).
